Following a successful trial, Chris joined the club from Hertha Berlin in January 2007 for a fee of £400,000.
A towering presence in both boxes, the giant Congo international quickly established himself at the heart of the Rovers defence alongside Ryan Nelsen.
A firm favourite with the fans, Chris has gone on to make over 150 appearances for the club and was confirmed team captain at the start of the 2010/11 season.
February 2011 saw Chris sign a new deal with the club that sees him contracted until the summer of 2015.
