By his own admission Emmanuel had a disappointing 2009/10 campaign.
He struggled to overcome a niggling injury during the first half of the season meaning that while many other Reserve-team regulars were heading out on loan, the midfielder was only just coming back into the side.
He was an unused substitute in all three of Arsenal's Carling Cup fixtures but his season ended on a high. The midfielder scored the winning penalty in the Semi-Final shoot-out victory over Manchester United before the Under-18s claimed the Premier Academy League title with a win against Nottingham Forest.
After seeing the likes of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Henri Lansbury prosper in the Championship last season, the 18-year-old could embark on a loan spell when the new campaign gets underway.
