Fabrice Muamba completed his third full season at Bolton in 2010/11, where he was a virtual ever-present by making 41 appearances in all competitions.
His only goal of the campaign arrived in December when he scored in Wanderers' 2-1 derby win over Blackburn Rovers at the Reebok Stadium.
This followed an impressive 2009/10 campaign, where the former Arsenal and Birmingham man finished in the top three for the Player of the Year award.
Muamba signed a new four-year contract at the Reebok in August, keeping him with Bolton until the summer of 2014.
The tall, athletic midfielder joined Wanderers from Birmingham City in the summer of 2008 in a deal worth over £5m.
A product of Arsenal's famed youth Academy, the midfielder has represented England at every youth level, from Under-16 to 21.
Indeed, over the last four years Muamba has been a regular in Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 squad and he appeared at the European Championships in Denmark this summer.
