Henri spent the 2009/10 campaign on-loan at Watford and was so impressive he earned a debut for England Under-21s in November.

The midfielder made 39 appearances for the Hornets before returning to Arsenal to make his Premier League debut against Fulham in May.

Lansbury signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners in January and at the time Arsène Wenger spoke of his conviction that the midfielder will be "a big player" for Arsenal.

The 19-year-old held down a place in Watford's Championship side, helping the Hertfordshire club avoid relegation while proving his set-piece ability.

Wenger kept tabs on the Englishman throughout his loan spell and has already stated that Lansbury will join the first-team squad for pre-season training in July.
