Consistency is a trait that supporters have come to expect from the club legend, and that has once again been apparent over the course of the 2010/11 season.

The Finnish stopper, who moved to the club from his homeland in 1997, was rewarded for his loyalty with a testimonial in 2009, which took place against Scottish outfit Hibernian a week before the 2009/10 season started.

Jaaskelainen made his 500th appearance for Bolton against Birmingham in an FA Cup quarter-final tie in March 2011.

During 2010/11, Jaaskelainen saved two penalties; against Carlton Cole of West Ham United at Upton Park and Ashley Young of Aston Villa at the Reebok Stadium.

Jaaskelainen is sure to be remembered as one of the best pound-for-pound signings in Wanderers' proud history after a remarkable stint as the club's undisputed number one, and he was recognised for the loyalty when he received an Outstanding Achievement award at the 2011 Player of the Year Dinner.

The long-serving goalkeeper was a relative unknown when he joined the club from VPS Vaasa in 1997 for what was a bargain £100k fee.

Jaaskelainen's contract at Bolton runs until the summer of 2012.
