In 2010/11, Klasnic was mainly deployed as a subsitute, but his goalscoring credentials helped Bolton earn important home league victories against Stoke City and Aston Villa.

The Hamburg-born man did earn a number of starts in the FA Cup, where he netted the decisive goals in the 1-0 wins over Wigan and Fulham in the fourth and five round ties, respectively.

Klasnic has enjoyed a career predominantly in the German top-flight with Werder Bremen, with one year in French football with Nantes

Having built his reputation at St Pauli, Klasnic joined Bremen, where he stayed for seven seasons. The Hamburg-born frontman helped them win the Bundesliga during the 2003/04 campaign, and the following season had his first taste of Champions League football, scoring five goals during the group stage.

The vastly experienced frontman has also found the net on 11 occasions for Croatia in 37 appearances, with two of those strikes coming against Poland and Turkey at the 2008 European Championships.
