Gretar Steinsson completed his third full season at Bolton Wanderers in 2010/11, making 26 appearances in all competitions.
The Icelander was a mainstay at right-back, however a couple of minor knee injuries kept him out of the team, most notably at the turn of the year.
Steinsson scored his only goal of the season in November against Tottenham Hotspur as Wanderers brought the Londoners back down to earth with a 4-2 win - just three days after Spurs had beaten reigning Champions League holders Inter Milan.
A popular character both on and off the field, Steinsson joined Bolton for £3.5m in January 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmar. He had started his professional career with Icelandic side Akranes before later moving to Swiss outfit Young Boys in 2004.
During his time with Bolton, Steinsson has won the Community Player of the Year in both 2009 and 2010.
His presence in Wanderers' squad continues the club's recent Icelandic tradition, following on from Eidur Gudjohnsen, Gudni Bergsson and Arnar Gunnlaugsson.
