Former manager Paul Ince went back to his old club MK Dons to secure the services of Andrews in the summer of 2008.

A former trainee with Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Dublin-born midfielder had spells with Oxford, Stoke, Walsall and Hull City before establishing himself as captain in the MK Dons side that gained promotion to League One and won the Football League Trophy in 2008.

Signed for an undisclosed fee, displays for Rovers in the early part of the 2008/09 season saw Andrews called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad for the first ime. Making a goalscoring debut as a substiute in November in a friendly match against Poland. The midfielder now has over 20 caps to his name.

Scored his first Rovers goal the same month with a last minute equaliser against West Bromwich Albion, and scored further vital goals to help secure the club's Premier League status.

Signed a new four-year-deal in July 2009 which sees Keith contracted to the club until the summer of 2013.
