Mark Davies moved to Bolton in January, 2009, after the Whites struck a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for his services.

The highly-rated midfielder penned a four-and-a-half year deal with the club, after swapping Molineux for the Reebok Stadium for an undisclosed fee.

The starlet had been on loan at Leicester City during the first half of the 2008/09 season - scoring three goals in ten appearances to help the Foxes reach the summit of League One.

Davies was originally a product of the youth academy at Wolves but rose through the ranks to make his first team debut against Leeds United in August 2005. He went on to make a total of 35 appearances for the Black Country outfit.

He made his first appearance for Wanderers in January 2009, as a second half substitute in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers, and was subsequently handed his full debut three days later in the home victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

During 2010/11, Davies was a vital cog in centre midfield, offering an extra attacking option from the centre of the pitch.

He made 31 appearances and scored what was later crowned as the club's Goal of the Season when Bolton fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Blackpool in November 2010.

An ankle injury curtailed Davies' season a month early, however after undergoing surgery he is expected to be fit for the start of the upcoming 2011/12 campaign.

Davies signed a new deal in February 2011 and is now contracted at the Reebok until July 2015.
