Bulgarian international Martin Petrov joined Bolton Wanderers from Manchester City on a Bosman on July 1, 2010.
Petrov boasts a wealth of experience at the top level having played in the German Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, La Liga in Spain with Atletico Madrid and, most recently, in the Barclays Premier League with Manchester City.
Indeed, the winger had spent the three previous seasons at Eastlands, where he moved for a fee of £4.7m in July 2007.
He played an important part in Manchester City's achievements during that time, making 66 appearances and scoring 12 goals.
Petrov, who is renowned for possessing a venomous left-foot shot, is also a regular in the Bulgaria national side.
